Description

A number of artefacts, including a possible medieval seal, coins and other metallic objects, were found by two illegal metal-detectorists in a field to the south of Sandyhill Road, Banff in the 1990s. A local resident, who saw some of the objects, contacted the police, but by the time they arrived the detectorists had gone. None of the artefacts were recorded or reported.
