Abstract/Summary

Excavation of a shell midden which uncovered an unexpected depth of archaeological deposits and identified a number of well‐preserved features dug into the middens and underlying sand dunes. The only finds were stone tools, two flint pieces and a number of flakes created from breaking of the local beach cobbles.
