Description
Exposed northwestern face of the midden (most seriously affected by erosion) cleaned and recorded, and segments targetd for more intense study. The excavation uncovered an unexpected depth of archaeological deposits and identified a number of well‐preserved features dug into the middens and underlying sand dunes. The only finds were stone tools, two flint pieces and a number of flakes created from breaking of the local beach cobbles. No pottery or any other find was made.
