Full Description
Geophysical survey and trial trenching evaluation was carried between 2011 and 2012 on an area proposed for development. Geophysical survey by Headland Archaeology in 2011 identified a number of magnetic anomalies indicating possible archaeological features. A total of 24 trenches were excavated by GUARD Archaeology in January 2012 targeted on potential archaeological anomalies identified by magnetometry survey carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2011 over part of this development site. Boreholes were also dug across the central wet area of the site. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
