Description

A total of 24 trenches were excavated by GUARD Archaeology in January 2012 targeted on potential archaeological anomalies identified by magnetometry survey carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2011 over part of this development site. Boreholes were also dug across the central wet area of the site. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded. Selected sample s of the cores retained for further assessment and potential analysis of the environmental history of the site. Director: GUA Auspices: DEV Fund: DEV
