Full Description

An archaeological watching brief was conducted from August 2015 to June 2016 by AOC Archaeology prior to development, after a walkover survey and desk-based assessment had been conducted on the development area (NJ44SE0088). A recumbent slab recorded within a group of boulders (probably field clearance) was identified as having two possible cup-marks. Scotland's Rock Art Project noted several fissures running northwest-southwest along the stones, and two circular depressions of which one was considered a possible cup mark.
