Full Description
Standing stone or cattle-rubbing stone. This plain unmarked stone stands in a cultivated field. It leans to the southwest. A large stone lies at the south side of its base. A small hole, about 25mm in diameter, has been bored through the stone about half-way up, and below it, on the northeast side, is what appears to be a shot-hole. According to the landowner in 1967 it was erected circa 1851 as a cattle rubbing stone.
