Full Description
Remains of the Battle Headquarters of Peterhead (Longside) Airfield (NK04NE0027), standing in a field to the south of the airfield. The emergency hatch is still in place but the emergency ladder is missing, the main entrance steps have been backfilled and the bunker is partially flooded. It is visible on RAF aerial photographs as a small square structure with the line of a cable trench running in from the minor road to the south. A photograph taken in 1969 shows that the earth covering had by then been removed from the structure. See also NK04NE0124.
