Full Description
Standing stone of prehistoric date. Measuring circa 2.3 m high by circa 0.6 m square, the orthostat is situated at a wall junction with the walls built around it. The stone was once used for executions. To the east is the 'Pit' (NJ 9220 6556) now a small pool, but formerly of considerable extent, where lesser crimes were punished. Pit now infilled.
