Full Description

Standing stone, said to be remains of a stone circle, though there is no trace of such a feature. A smaller stone lies flat on the ground to the south but it is doubtful if it formed part of a circle. Tradition suggests that stones from the farm were used to build Monymusk church. The earthfast granite stone measures 0.85m wide by 0.45m thick at ground level and rises to a pointed top at a height of 1.3m. A small hole has been drilled into the north face of the stone at 0.2m above ground level.
