Description
Trench FL0242 20m x 2m with an extension 5.5m x 5m, revealed two features - a linear feature and a large pit. Trench FL0242a, 20m x 2 m, parallel to the first trench was excavated to identify any continuation of the features; a probable continuation of the linear feature was identified. Palaeoenvironmental sampling produced small quantities of charcoal from the pit. Palaeoenvironmental sampling of the linear feature recovered hazlenut shell and charcoal in sufficient quantity for radiocarbon dating. Director: CFA Auspices: DEV
