Description
A trial trenching evaluation was carried out by CFA Archaeology in November 2018 within the corridor of a pipeline route, in an area of recorded cropmarks (MAB63629). Six trenches were excavated, and archaeological remains recorded in three of these. Trench 46 contained six pits, three of which were excavated although no finds were recovered. A single pit was recorded in Trench 48. The 9 features recorded in Trench 51 included two pits which were excavated although no artefacts were found, and a linear feature which contained some burnt bone, probably animal.
