Description

An OS site visit in 1967 noted that on the west shoulder of the Hill of Rowan are two hut circles and an associated field system. The huts are defined by vague, turf-covered, stony walls, measuring 9 m in diameter (crest to crest) and 0.3 m in maximum height. No entrances are apparent. The field system is composed mainly of scattered clearance cairns in cleared ground, with the occasional possible field bank, but no definite fields can be seen.
