Description

A walkover survey was carried out by GUARD in 1997 ahead of proposed quarrying, which confirmed these features as a possible prehistoric enclosure with probable internal features, and a possible cairn, although did not locate any internal hut circles. The survey also located another hut-circle and possible standing stone of possible prehistoric date, a group of boulders suggested to be the remains of a recumbent stone circle, and other features including three trackways, a boundary line, and clearance cairns of likely post-medieval or modern date.
