Report on University of Aberdeen excavations 2019
Description
Small scale evaluative excavation targeted on the lower fort enclosure and over several platforms identified on the slopes of the hill between the lower and upper fort walls. The lower fort enclosure yielded no finds. The upper platform trench yielded one piece of pottery and some animal bone; the lower platform trench produced evidence of metalworking, pottery and stone artefacts. Samples taken for radiocarbon dating. [Type: Archive]
