Full Description

Mill of 18th century date. It is a single-storey and attic rectangular building with a kiln at one end. There is a four-spoke wood and iron overshot wheel which drove a generator. The OS 1st edition map shows an L-plan mill building fed by a lade from the west and three rectangular buildings. The westernmost building had been removed by the time of the 2nd edition map and one of the others is shown as roofless. Another rectangular building had been added north of the mill. The current OS map indicates that the roofless western buildings has been removed but the second one is now ruinous. The lade is in large part still shown as a watercourse.
