Full Description
Lime kiln, depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition 25 inch maps and recorded during a survey of limekilns in Upper Donside in 2002. It was originally a large kiln, circa 6.3 m in external diameter, although only a portion of the front wall remains, 1.5 m high. The bowl is 3.6 m in diameter, infilled with stones. There are remains of supporting buttresses to the front, although the draw hole has collapsed and is filled with stones, with a spread of stones down the bank.
