Full Description
Souterrains noted in the New Statistical Account (1845) as Picts' Houses, 8 feet wide and 5 feet high, roofed with flat stones and found to contain a quantity of ashes and charred wood. In 1867, the ONB records that only the entrances were visible as small depressions in the ground. OS site visit found no recognisable souterrain features, although a pile of rubble remained at NJ48261433. Nothing is now visible.
