Full Description
Remains of a small rectangular sunken building or water tank recorded by CFA Archaeology in 2008 during reconnaissance field survey along a proposed electricity cable route (NJ41NE0190). The structure measures 5 m by 3 m and is 0.8 m deep. The walls are of un-mortared stone and there is no rubble within the structure. Possibly the trough depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps.
