Full Description
Large flat stones recorded by CFA Archaeology in 2008 during reconnaissance field survey along a proposed electricity cable route (NJ41NE0190). Five stones at the corner of the existing field (circa NJ4606919090) each measured circa 2 m by 2.5 m and 0.2 m thick. A number of smaller stones had been scattered amongst them. They had been dumped here but may originally have belonged to a souterrain within the field. To the southwest a scatter of large stones was recorded along the field edge. The largest measured 1 m by 1.5 m, the majority less than 0.8 m long. They may also have originally have belonged to a souterrain within the field.
