Wester Clova farmstead is depicted on the OS 1st edition map as an almost quadrangular range of buildings with a gap in the northeast corner and central court.

Wester Clova farmstead is depicted on the OS 1st edition map as an almost quadrangular range of buildings with a gap in the northeast corner and central court. A small L-shaped building lies to the southeast of it. To the north is another range orientated northeast-southwest almost continuing on from the western side of the quad, with a mill pond lying behind it. Circa 30m to the east of this range is another lying parallel to it. By the 1888 OS map only the western side of the quad remains. The two parallel buildings have been joined by another range of buildings forming an E-shaped building. In the southeast, another building has been added onto the original small building, which is probably the farmhouse. Now on present maps all of the original quad building has gone and the mill pond is no longer depicted. The E-shaped range still survives as does the house to the southeast. A photographic survey was carried out in 2012 of the building proposed for conversion for use as a control building for a windfarm.
