Full Description
Possible crannog. An islet on the loch 12m from shore to which (according to Ogston) 'access is gained by means of two curved rows of stepping stones'. These are in fact the continuation of dry stone walls which border the loch. Insufficient remains to enable classification of crannog, and it is probably natural. Aerial photograph taken 6/6/96 would seem to indicate that there is a probable crannog at NJ438 008 which may be site referred to above.
