Full Description

Cottage depicted on the OS 2nd edition and later maps. TO the northwest of the cottage is a group of four small buildings annotated 'Kennels'. The kennels buildings have since been remove, although some remains were noted in the area during site visit by Mott Macdonald in 2022 during walkover survey ahead of electricity cabling works (NJ40SE0197). This recorded a square platform of stone/concrete on top of a single course of roughly squared stones. There are iron bolts in the corners: this may be the foundation for a shed or water tank. The survey also recorded lengths of drystone wall along the northern side of the property.
