Full Description
Farmstead, in use, and possible site of manor. The farmstead of Mains of Tannachy itself is depicted on the 1st edition OS map of circa 1846 as a U-shaped steading with open court to the east. Another long range lie east of the main steading orientated north - south with a building east of it. By the 2nd edition OS map of circa 1888, the U-shaped steading has an additional range added to the east end of the south range, which extends south. The long range to the east in now L-shaped with the addition of a range to the east at its north end. Another smaller L-shaped building lies to the east. Today parts of the original steading survive but there have been a number of later additions.
