Full Description
Remains of a smithy depicted on historic OS maps. The 1st edition map shows an L-plan range, a rectangular building and a small circular structure. By the 2nd edition what may be a horse-mill had been added at the east end of the range. Noted during field survey by Clyde Archaeology in October 2023 ahead of overhead line reinforcement (NJ35SE0041).
