Full Description
Remains of a small farmstead. Four buildings (one an L-plan) with an enclosure and well to the south, and a pond with sluice to the southeast is depicted on the OS 1st edition map. By the time of the 2nd edition the L-plan building had been reduced to a rectangular plan. Two of the buildings were still evident in 1959 but it is unknown if anything survives. When visited by RCAHMS in 1990 the area was covered with rough grass and a few trees, so foundations could survive. A field survey was carried out in 2009 by CFA Archaeology prior to a proposed wind farm, which recorded the denuded remains of the enclosure (0.2 m high), but the building was not present.
