Full Description

Former road bridge, now by-passed and only in use by pedestrians, that was constructed in the late-18th century. It is a single span hump-back bridge, constructed of harl pointed rubble. It has a tooled granite segmental arch springing from similar rubble abutments. There is a low coped granite parapet with a splayed approach, which meets at the centre of the bridge as a point. There are cast-iron stays to the parapet, and small concrete repairs are visible from the East bank. The approximate span of the bridge is 60 feet (18 metres).
