Full Description

A farmstead called Woodside is depicted on the OS map of 1846 as a U-shaped building with open court to the east and an extension on the north arm with a small enclosure at its eastern end. Another building lies to the west. By 1888 it has been reduced in size with the extension gone. A field survey was carried out in 2009 by CFA Archaeology prior to a proposed wind farm, which recorded that no upstanding features remain of the farmstead, although a stone heap at NJ 3504 4404 was recorded that may relate to it.
