Full Description
Remains of croft. Two adjoining buildings with part of a third at the south end. It is depicted as in use on the 1846 OS map but disused by the 1888 edition. A field survey was carried out in 2009 by CFA Archaeology prior to a proposed wind farm, which recorded the grassed over upstanding remains of a three-compartmented stone built building and the remains of a possible enclosure (30 metres by 10 metres and 0.3 metres high), was also recorded directly east of the building.
CFA ARCHAEOLOGY, 2009, PROPOSED WIND FARM AT TOBAY FARM, NEAR DUFFTOWN. CULTURAL HERITAGE ASSESSMENT, DBA and field survey (Bibliographic reference). SAB6873.
