Full Description
Area of stone clearance heaps. Pre-afforestation survey in 1987 recorded the remains of sections of a head-dyke, low lengths of detached banks, and stone clearance heaps either on their own or associated with lengths of bank. Both banks and clearance heaps survive to a maximum height of 0.4 m. The clearest, albeit small, cairnfield consisting of a cluster of stone clearance heaps on a level plateau occurs at circa NJ303360 (see also NJ33NW0038).
