Full Description
The remains of a lime kiln stand circa 150m north/northeast of Bressachoil. It is rectangular in shape and is depicted on both the OS maps of 1867 and 1888. There are a number of small quarries to the west where the lime was quarried for the kiln. The kiln lies immediately north of a track leading to Bressachoil. The limekiln (external diameter 5.6 m) is fairly well preserved, surviving to 2 m high at its front face, and has an intact draw-hole. Its external diameter is 5.6 m, its bowl diameter is 3 m, and its draw-hole is 1.7 m high by 1.4 m wide.
