Former tollhouse built circa 1800, and extended in the later 20th century. It is a single storey 3-bay building, harled, with a prominent bow front and pavilion roofs of small grey slates. It stands on the main Corgarff to Strathdon road. Probably originally known as Strathdon Toll House, the Aberdeen Roads Act of 1865 formally ended turnpike charges and the house appears on the 1st edition OS map as `Bridgeley '.
