Full Description
Field system, comprising two main elements. Area 1 consists of stone clearance cairns and short stretches of low stony banks. Higher up, in Area 2, intersecting linear banks form small enclosures. Outside this area are a set of shallow scoops circa 4-5 m in diameter and of indeterminate function. The remains of croft suggest that at least part of Area 2 may be relatively modern. Two hut circles have been recorded by RCAHMS field survey at NJ 3966 1046 and NJ 3968 1048), each circa 7 m in diameter within a low, grass-grown bank up to 2 m in thickness.
