Full Description
Remains of a castle. The original building had no defensive features but was added to in 18th and 19th centuries. Part of a barrel-vaulted cellar and a corridor remain, in poor condition. A datestone of 1604 was mounted over the door of House of Newe, the house built in 1831 and later demolished in early 20th century. See NJ31SE0107 for designed landscape.

Dates from 1604, added to 1791,1831; house built 1831, demolished c.1950 although old notes state 1927 which doesn't match.
