Full Description
Remains of a lime kiln. It is depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. Shown on current OS maps, and described by FC SMR as 'quite well preserved'. Site visit as part of a survey of limekilns of Upper Donside (2002-3) noted that this was a large kiln, the bowl well preserved although the upper front face and draw hole have partially collapsed. There are four supporting lintels still in position.
