Full Description

Remains of a small farmstead. The only features which appear on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps are sheepfolds. On the OS 1st edition sheet it comprises two linked enclosures, one rectangular and the other pentagonal. By the time of the 2nd edition the west of the two enclosures had been reduced in size and divided into two. The site was visited by RCAHMS in 1997 which recorded two conjoined drystone-walled enclosures which differs slightly in plan to those shown on the historic OS maps though it is thought likely that they are essentially the same structures. River erosion has entirely destroyed all traces of a third fold shown on a later map.
