Full Description
A small settlement is depicted on the OS map of 1867 as Shenbhal. There are six buildings with attached enclosures. A limekiln is visible to the north (NJ30SW0081). By the 1888 edition there are nine small buildings. One large stone-built building remains upstanding to roof height (but without a roof), a small building lies to the south west, and various stone walls and footings as well as earthworks representing the remains of buildings and structures.
