Full Description
Remains of a railway station opened in 1852 by the Morayshire Railway. It was a single platform terminal station, the terminus of the Great North of Scotland branch line from Elgin. The platform buildings comprise a single-storey stone structure on an H-plan, adjoins a large 2-storey and basement building formerly the Steamboat and Railway Hotel. It closed in April 1964. The station building and hotel were demolished circa 1988 and replaced by recreational area and car park, incorporating remains of the long single platform.
