Full Description

Remains of the 16th century Precinct wall of Elgin Cathedral (NJ26SW0001). Only two fragments are now extant. The wall originally stood at 12 feet (3.7 metres) high. It had three gateways in addition to Pans Port (NJ26SW0083), and was over half a mile in circuit. One fragment of the wall is at NJ 22274 62866, and the other at NJ 22317 62968.

Built in the 16th century. Listed designation given on 26/01/1971, and scheduled designation on 31/05/1994.
