Full Description
Two glacial mounds, which have in the past been suggested to be cairns. The OS Name Book (1864) records that they were excavated to a depth of 8' in 1860 by Mr R Duthie, who found pieces of vegetable charcoal 5' down. They are circa 8m high, situated in a hollow beside a stream, each surrounded by a modern retaining wall. There are other similar knolls in the area.
