Full Description
World War II pill-box. A photographic survey was carried out by AOC Archaeology in December 2015 as part of a programme of archaeological works (NJ26SW0103) prior to proposed housing development. Both external and internal elevations of the pill-box were recorded, the structure being small and rectangular with two rooms. A single external door on the western side leads to the first room, which is roofed with the remains of a chimney in the southwest corner and steps down to the second room in the southeast corner. The second room was partially unroofed and overgrown.
