Full Description
Fairy Hillock, according to the OS Name Book 1968, is an abrupt eminence thought to be partly artificial, in which subterranean 'Picts' Houses' were found while digging for the foundation of a cottage in the middle of the 18th century. OS 1972 concluded that it is a natural sandy hillock, quarried from the north, and is not an antiquity.
