Full Description
Site of a chalybeate well that is depicted on both the 1867 1st edition and the 1888 2nd edition OS maps. Field survey of the site was done in 2011 by CFA as part of the proposed programme of works associated with the extension to Rothes Wind Farm. The feature, a small irregular-shaped shallow body of water in marshy ground, was rich in iron deposits, which had stained the surrounding area.
