Full Description
Channel, depicted on the 1873 1st edition OS map, now marked as a 'drain'. The northeast end widens into a pond with a sluice at the northeast end shown as a small structure. It was constructed during the first half of the nineteenth century as part of the Spynie Canal. At the northeast end is a small stone building SCAPE Community Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (CCZAS) in 2022 recorded remains of a building at the location of the sluice, its soouth side open and the building then full of water.
