Full Description

World War II pill-box with one door with blast wall, five large loop-holes and two small loop-holes. Part of the line of coastal defence starting at Kingston. Visited 05/02/2009 by AOC as part of a desk-based assessment of Lossie Forest. Described as hexagonal in shape, but severely undercut by erosion probably caused by the removal of sand from the vicinity. Site visit 2022 during Moray Community Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (CCZAS). The pillbox is a CEScC 2893 Type 24 variant.
