Full Description
Cropmark of a ring ditch recorded by J Dewar during aerial reconnaissance in 1976. This site was excavated by CFA in September 1998. The ring ditch measured 7 m in diameter and was 1.5-2 m in width. The side of the ditch were near vertical and the base flat with depth circa 0.45 m. Many heat-cracked stones were in the fill of the ditch. A number of pits and post-holes were also revealed, some of which had been cut by the ring ditch.
