Full Description

Supposed site of chapel. There is no trace of the chapel, although the tradition is known locally. There is a rectilinear cropmark on the site. The north end of the promontory appears to be cut by a small curved ditch. The chapel is said to have stood beside 'a circular tumulus' This may refer to Erskine's Knap which stood in the field to the east at NO 7379 7345 (NO77SW0013) but which has since been removed.
