Full Description

At least two circular enclosures and a larger sub-circular feature are visible on a vertical aerial photograph. There are also two possible small roughly square enclosures which may represent square barrows, that possibly relate to a Pictish barrow cemetery site. A watching brief was maintained over the far eastern corner of the cropmark area in 2004 by SUAT during work to extend an existing carpark at the St. Cyrus National Nature Reserve. No features of archaeological significance were exposed during the watching brief.
