Full Description
Remains of a rubble-built cairn located near the summit of Brown Muir recorded during a walkover survey by Highland Archaeology Services in November 2021 (NJ25SE0065). The cairn measured 1 m by 1 m, located to the western extent of a weathered track. The track, orientated north to south on the hillside, is depicted on the historic OS maps. The placement near the summit of the hill and next to the track may indicate the cairn was used as a marker cairn.
