Full Description

Remains of a bridge. The OS 2nd edition map shows a farm track crossing the burn at this location, which is also shown on the current edition OS map. The bridge was recorded during a walkover survey by Highland Archaeology Services in November 2021 (NJ25SE0065) as the remains of a possible post-medieval or modern stone-built bridge, constructed to cross a small burn in between two fields, southwest of Littlehaugh farmstead (NJ25SE0062). Large stone blocks and a lintel have been used in its construction, with mortar used to bind the structure together which may indicate a later date.
